What better way to ring in the New Year than with another feature-packed release to boost your sales productivity?  Our January 2011 release of InsideView will be available this Saturday morning, January 8th.

In addition to enabling social selling, there were two other key themes that emerged during our Customer 2.0 Roadshow this summer – driving adoption through better CRM integration and maintaining industry-leading contact accuracy.  We’ve been hard at work on both fronts and in our January 2011 release you will find features like automated watchlists for Salesforce.com, Single Sign On integration for NetSuite, and a new company preview UI.  You will also find integrated LinkedIn profiles for nearly all contacts and the ability to easily flag any incorrect contact data.

Here are your January 2011 release highlights!

•    User feedback for contacts
•    More integrated LinkedIn profiles
•    New company preview UI
•    In-product feature updates
•    Redesigned summary alerts
•    NetSuite users – Export & Sync with Single Sign On
•    Salesforce users – Automated Watchlists

User feedback for contact accuracy

You can now easily flag and update any incorrect contact data you come across in InsideView and be notified as soon as the record is updated.  This feature leverages the reach of our user community to identify incorrect contacts and the expertise of the InsideView content team to validate user feedback.  We believe this hybrid approach will help provide the most complete and accurate contact information available for B2B sales professionals.

As President-elect Obama brings his agenda of change to the White House, InsideView continues to bring about change within sales and marketing organizations across the country.   Here are a few of the enhancements we’ve made to SalesView in just the last month.

1.    Contact CRM Mash-up: We’ve added a Contact mash-up view that allows you to search for and match executives directly from any contact in your CRM.  It includes current employment info, work history, education, and quick links to Google, Jigsaw, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo.  Give it a try!

2.    Corporate Hierarchy Information: The more you know about your prospects’ business structure, the better you’re able to navigate the sales process.  Parent company information is now visible for subsidiaries and business segments.

3.    Company Search Enhancements:
•    Searching by SIC Code: If you’re a fan of SIC codes or just a child of the ‘80s (yes, they were last updated by the US government in 1987 when The Bangles and Bon Jovi ruled the pop charts) then you’re in luck!  You can now include SIC codes as a company search criteria.

•    Searching by Business Type: Do you only sell to certain types of organizations?  Now you can search by business type, whether it’s Public, Private, Non-Profit, Subsidiary, etc.
4.    Alerts for Leadership Changes:  Management changes can often represent a selling opportunity or a potential threat.  Your daily InsideView alerts now include leadership changes across any of your watch list companies.  Whether an executive is joining or departing, you’ll be in the know!

5.    More Contacts:  If you call on mid-level executives you’ll be happy to know that we continue to add Director and Manager level titles from sources like Jigsaw and ZoomInfo (over a half million more contacts were added this month alone.)

InsideView is serving up smokin' hot product updates

You know that guy who selflessly toils away at the grill while everyone else at the picnic enjoys the good food and conversation? That would be our development team. Yes, during the dog days of summer when many of us in sales are enjoying vacations or laying by the pool, the InsideView engineers have been busy manning the grill and serving up some hot new features. When we fired up the grill earlier this month our focus was on making SalesView even smarter and easier to use. The ingredients? First we started with some great user feedback from our growing SalesView community (thank you!) and then we added a little secret sauce from the InsideView team.

Here’s a quick run down on some of the things we’ve been cooking up!
1. Connections Get Kicked Up a Notch
We moved a step closer to perfecting our recipe for connection analysis using what we call entity triangulation. By comparing and merging executive profiles from different data sources, we maximize your ability to leverage relationships. You also get the very best information that sources like Reuters, Hoovers, D&B, and ZoomInfo have to offer — all in one executive profile.

2. Fire Up SalesView Search From Your CRM
Our latest Salesforce mash-up allows you to search SalesView without leaving your CRM. Not finding any search results in your Salesforce? No problem. Use the new SalesView search box in the left-hand navigation to find the company or executive you’re looking for (and export them back into your CRM with a single click!)

3. Capture All the Flavor of Agents in Your CRM
Wish you could easily save the key events and insights found by SalesView’s Smart Agents? Well now you can. Our Salesforce mash-up now allows you to save Agent events as a Task or Note so that you can easily follow up on them. You can also email Agent events to other members of your sales and marketing team without having to leave your CRM.

These are just some of the updates you will notice in SalesView. We’ve also done some great work to make company and executive searches even faster. Check it all out for yourself by logging into SalesView today.

While summer is winding down in most places, our summer is just hitting it’s stride here in the Bay Area. And that means you can look for more great features hot off the grill. In the coming months you will see some great new capabilities related to CRM integration, new content sources, and additional breakthroughs in the use of social media in the enterprise.
